Issue Position: Lower Taxes and Cut Wasteful Spending

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2016

In 2015 when big spenders in the House of Representatives proposed a massive increase in the state spending of over $1.3 billion, Justin led the successful effort of a conservative coalition to cut out nearly $600 million of pork spending, pet projects, and corporate welfare subsidies. Your hard-earned tax-dollars should focus on the core government functions -- education, public safety, and transportation.
Justin has a proven record on taxes and spending. He opposed the state tax increases in 2009 and 2010, and successfully fought to eliminate those tax increases and others in 2011. Justin supported and helped write a state budget in 2011 that cut state spending and moves our state in the direction of fiscal responsibility and accountability. As a key leader in the budget writing process, Justin has the knowledge and is in the right place to continue protecting the TAXPAYER'S WALLET!
